Frequently asked questions

WHAT FILMS DO YOU OFFER?
For weddings every couple will receive a Highlight Film, Teaser Film, and a Ceremony Film. Some couples choose to add a Speeches Film and/or the Raw Footage. I always encourage couples to add on Raw Footage!

(I believe in giving back every moment of your wedding day, not just the pretty parts. You will look at these films in the happiest moments, the moments you lose loved ones and the times your kids ask what you were like when you were young.)

HOW LONG WILL MY FILM BE?
The length of each Highlight Film depends on a number of different things! Number of hours booked, if you are reading personal vows, the length of your ceremony, if you will have any speeches, etc. Basically the more 'things' we do throughout your wedding day, the longer your film will be be. Typically Highlight Films are from 3-6 minutes long and Raw Footage Films can very between 1-3 hours. Your Ceremony and Speeches Films vary in length.

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I love this question. My wedding day style is best described as a candid capturer. After we have planned the perfect day, the wedding day is now all about you, and I just sit back and take it all in (via my camera). The less I am directing you, the more real moments I am able to capture. When I am editing your wedding footage filled with these candid moments, my goal is to always create films that take you back over and over again.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY WEDDING FILMS BACK?
Wedding Highlight Films are EXTREMELY creative and take SO MANY hours to edit. Our contract will state that I have 8-10 weeks after your wedding to edit your films! It is the perfect 2 month anniversary date night to watch your wedding film! If your collection has a Teaser, this is delivered 7-10 days after your wedding and is always fun to share on social media.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR ELOPEMENTS, AND IF SO DO YOU HAVE TRAVEL FEES?
I travel ALL OF THE TIME! There is something beautiful about shooting an elopement in a new place that makes my creative mind scream with excitement! I don't have travel fees, but I do have two separate prices for local and non-local weddings! You will be made aware of all the prices when you inquire.

WHAT IS THE RAW FOOTAGE EDIT?

The Raw Footage Edit includes moment from your entire day. Since the Highlight Films are only a few minutes long, the Raw Footage edit is the perfect film if it just isn't enough. These are the real, raw moments from your wedding day.

WILL YOU BE AT MY WEDDING DAY?
Yes! I bring my excitement and spunk to each and every wedding booked with me! I only shoot one wedding per date and attend all weddings with very, very few exceptions.

ARE YOU BOOKING WEDDINGS EVEN THROUGH COVID?
Of course! If you can't wait then neither can I!! Now, more than ever is the perfect time to elope!! I am well equipped to help find the perfect place to have your intimate wedding.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO YOU BOOK WEDDINGS?
I typically book elopements 6-12 months in advance. But, reach out to me as soon as you know your wedding date to make sure I am available! Since I book a limited number of elopements, my weekend dates fill up fast!

WHAT IS YOUR ADVENTURE SESSION?
Adventure sessions are the best thing on the planet(: Typically designed for destination weddings, these are 1.5-2 hour sessions the day before or after the wedding day and the perfect way to capture more of your wedding week! It can include hiking, wandering around the city, taking a jeep to the top of the mountain, a steamy sunset beach session or having a pool party with the bridal party! adventure sessions are the best way to add more unique and personal footage to your wedding film. If you want to book an adventure session but are unsure of ideas let me know! I am always happy to help my couples plan out these details.

DO YOU FLY A DRONE?

Yes, I do fly a drone, weather and location permitting. Locations such as national parks and venues typically do not allow for drones.
